This 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Seville is one of 2,104 examples produced for the model year and is said to have had a refurbishment completed in 2000. Equipment includes dual Carter carburetors, a lowered suspension, power-assisted drum brakes, chrome-finished 15″ Sabre wheels, power steering, a power-adjustable front seat, power windows, an AM radio, and a heater. The selling dealer acquired the car in 2022, and subsequent work included rebuilding the brake booster, a tune-up, and replacing the fuel pump, trunk switch, and brake master cylinder.
The car was finished from the factory in Starlight Silver Metallic and was refinished in blue with a black vinyl roof around 2000. Exterior details include hooded headlights, fog lights, a driver-side mirror, a power-operated antenna, Dagmar bumper guards, and rear tail fins.
Chrome-finished 15″ Sabre wheels are mounted with 235/75 Coker whitewall tires. The suspension is comprised of lowered front coil and rear leaf springs. Braking is provided by power-assisted drums at each corner. The booster was rebuilt in December 2023 and the master cylinder and a front wheel cylinder were replaced in August 2024.
The cabin houses a power-adjustable front seat that was reupholstered during the refurbishment in light blue, and it is accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and replacement carpeting.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph sweep speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 94k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added under current ownership.
